It's refreshing to see an American company show sensitivity to the concerns of Americans opposed to Islamic jihad and its apologists. Too many of them bend over backward in the direction of anti-American political correctness....
rachael ray bending over
I purchased the Rachael Ray Cucina non stick pans in March 2022. I used the 9" fry pan one time. The next time I took it out to use I noticed the surface had a chip in it. I contacted customer service via submitting a warranty ticket on their site. The auto message said it would take a month to hear anything back! I was disappointed but accepted it. Today it has been a month and still no news. When I try to check the status of my ticket online I get a message that there is no service ticket. This despite the fact I do have a service ticket sitting in my email. I have been trying to call all morning and despite the fact I am calling during their business hours per the recorded message no one ever answers. Do not buy these pots. It is absurd that after one use they are chipped. My last set of pans lasted over 10 years. They do not respond to calls or emails.

This flap is so chock full of objects of Internet scorn that it's hard not to get a little dizzy: Right-wing nutcase Michelle Malkin has won a victory over baby-talking Food Network personality Rachael Ray, who was hawking obesity-causing products for fast-food company Dunkin' Donuts while wearing what appeared to be a kaffiyeh, the cotton scarf that most Americans associate with Palestinian nationalists, especially the much reviled late Yasser Arafat.
"It's refreshing to see an American company show sensitivity to the concerns of Americans opposed to Islamic jihad and its apologists. Too many of them bend over backward in the direction of anti-American political correctness. Naturally, liberal commentators on the Internet are now up in arms over Dunkin' Donuts' decision to yank the ad and mock anyone who expresses concern over the keffiyeh's symbolism."
Of course, Malkin glosses over the fact that the kaffiyeh is a staple of Arab wardrobes all over the Middle East (Jordanians prefer red-and-white ones, Kuwaitis all-white ones, etc.), not just among those using violent means to create a Palestinian state. Simply saying that anyone who wears a kaffiyeh is demonstrating solidarity with Islamic terrorists is like saying anyone who wears a beret believes in Cuban-style communism as espoused by Che Guevara. True, Arafat made it his trademark, but it's critical to remember that to a vast number of Arabs, the kaffiyeh's basically just another kind of hat, and that to equate kaffiyeh-wearers with terrorists sets a dangerous precedent in a country that should have learned by now the pitfalls of underestimating the complexities of Arab (and Muslim) cultures.
Her scarf looks more like a Hebrew Prayer shawl, worn as a fashion item,or item or cultural interest -like Madonna studied HebrewKabbalah. But it DO NOT look like an Arab man's headdress to me. Hebrew Prayer shawls are soft and are draped over the man's shoulders, but they are too long and big and droopy to be worn on the head as a kiffeyeh is.
I could not tell the "scarf" was an Arab Kaffiyeh.Kaffiyeh's are usually shorter, and firmer, and they have a design of square checker shapes all over them.I have never seen a loose, soft scarf like RachelRay's on an Arab man's head.Americans imitate fashion from all over the world, without promoting affinity to that culture;like the gauzy Arab-style tunic shirts they are selling to all the females as a fashion item.
Quite frankly, I don't understand why a site devoted to epicurian delight is involving itself with political controversy but, since YOU started it...Michelle Malkin is not a nutjob of any fashion nor a racist, she's a conservative patriot deeply concerned with the security of this country, like me. In case you haven't noticed, Michelle is not white, like me, and only white people can be racists. Good liberals and West Coast types imply this fundamental truth constantly. Michelle, unlike lots of folks who can't be racist, understands FULLY that radical Islam is at the core of ALL of the planet's 38 or so current armed conflicts. And, unlike those same politically correct, seemingly enlightened folks, Michelle understands that that is simply NOT a coincidence. Radical Islam is real, it's dangerous and it's everywhere or have you forgotten the pictures of Paris' suburban Muslim neighborhoods literally ablaze a couple of years ago? Europe is mired in Islamic unrest and political upheaval and is doing virtually nothing to stop it. In Australia and Scandinavia, where the problem of Islamic radicals seizing governmental power is as real but not as pronounced, there is strong opposition leadership that, in effect, has stated that Islam is not compatible with western values and thus not welcome there. This is the proper course for America as well. Michelle WILL state what the problem is and the problem is ALL Islam is bad for America and bad for freedom. Don't believe me? Read the Qu'ran. And if Rachel Ray is wearing a scarf that can even be loosely identified with that Islamic menace, then she should stop. It's unfortunate that her stylist doesn't know any more about the current world situation than that but it's par for the course.
this has got to be the stupidest thing i've ever seen or heard. she probably had no idea what it was. to her it was just a scarf. is the news that slow you have to pick on her. go cover the the rising gas prices and back off!!!!!!!!!
rachael ray's hydrogenated grease hawking aside, i'd have to say that MM and DD's are most guilty in this case- malkin for the obvious reasons, and DD for basically endorsing her xenophobia...
ummmm.....are people really engaged in this? Was anyone actually offended by the scarf? People wear these things all over Europe....I think people need to get a hobby if this is getting them so wound up..... 2ff7e9595c
